Volleyball Club
Our volleyball club is a developmental youth club team focused on training girls ages 13 to 21 years of age. Club volleyball requires an eight month commitment to volleyball starting in September and ending in April. Players have the opportunity to train three days per week; one outdoor session and two beach sessions to develop the skills and techniques needed to not only be prepared for competition but to increase their volleyball IQ and skills. In 2019 we will be entering our first ever female team in the Barbados Volleyball Association (BVA) domestic knockout and league competitions. As per procedure, any new team will be entered in third division. As we aspire to learn, compete and ultimately win, we wish to use the competition as a form of development to familiarize the team with competition play and standards.

Objectives:
-
Expose players to competition level, including game like tactics and strategies during competition
-
Win the league and knockout competitions.
-
Graduate from third division to second and first division levels
-
Develop players who will go on to represent Barbados at the junior and senior levels and into collegiate players
Club Information:
In addition to the regularly scheduled academy sessions on Saturday mornings, club sessions will also include two evening sessions at Enterprise Beach (formerly known as Miami Beach).

Club membership fees will cover uniform (practice & game jerseys), BVA affiliation and registration fees, referee fees, and any other miscellaneous cost.

Competition Season:
The Barbados Volleyball Association domestic season starts with the first division league in August/ September which runs approximately to November. Second and third division league runs simultaneously starting from January/ February until approximately April. Each division starts with the Knockout competition; the second and third division knockout competition is a joint competition where clubs who have both a second and third division team, can play players from any of the divisions in the competition. All teams play each other, and depending on the number of teams, the top eight will play in a playoff type format starting with the quarter-finals.
After the knockout competition, the regular season league is played which comprises of two rounds.

In addition to the BVA domestic league, PrepElite246 volleyball club will look for opportunities to expose our players to other competitions locally, regionally and internationally.

College Recruiting:
We are in the beginning stages of our club and academy, however it is never too early to prepare for the future. As noted, one of our objectives is to develop players for collegiate opportunities. Our aim is to educate and guide our athletes and parents in the college recruiting process. We know first hand how complicated and frustrating the process can be, and we want to make it as easy as possible for our future volleyball scholarship winners. We have teamed up with Carib Athletes College Recruiting Services, a proud supporter of PrepElite246 Volleyball Academy. They offer highlight videos, college recruiting profiles and resumes for athletes pursuing their college volleyball dreams, along with advise and mentorship throughout the entire process.
