St. Christopher's Primary School are Runners-Up in the Inaugural Primary School competition.
St. Christopher's Primary school, one of the pilot schools of PrepElite246 Volleyball Academy primary school "Learn to play" program, participated in the inaugural primary school invitational volleyball tournament; executed by Jodie B Productions in association with the Barbados Volleyball Association. Held at the Wildey Gymnasium on June 20th, four teams - West Terrace Primary School, Eden Lodge Primary School, St. Stephen's Primary School and St. Christopher Primary School participated in the round-robin competition. St. Christopher Primary School's team comprised of players who began volleyball approximately 8 months ago. The one-day competition was the first volleyball competition for the team.
After playing in the round-robin format and winning two of the three matches, our team secured a spot in the finals of the competition. Our players displayed team work, discipline and respect for their opponents and referees coupled with notable beginner volleyball skills, and most importantly had FUN. Despite not winning the competition they were able to capture the Runners-Up title.
